Can you tell us a little bit about your fitness background, and how you got started at Inspire/in Cycle?
Having a mother that's a gym owner, personal trainer, yoga instructor, and one of Australia’s indoor cycling OG’s in the 90’s, I was practically raised in gyms. Throughout my childhood, I competitively danced for 9+ years and eventually started to practice and fall in love with yoga (thanks mum)! But It wasn’t until 2019 in Stockholm, Sweden when I became a Lagree Megaformer instructor and then later certified by Psycle London’s Master trainer as an indoor cycle instructor at The Place Stockholm. When I came home in 2022 to visit family, I found Inspire and instantly fell in love 😍
After taking my first class I got in contact with Scott and basically told him I was obsessed and HAD to work with Inspire 🙈
What’s one thing we might be surprised to learn about you?
Before I worked in the health and wellness industry, I was a hairdresser for almost 13 years!
What can we expect from your class?
My classes are always designed to push you to your limits whatever they may be each day.
I wholeheartedly believe that some days we don’t have 100% to give, and that’s okay! If you bring 40%, your neighbours in the room and I will bring 60% for you. We ride together, always.
My goal is always to help you to shift your energy for the better, to push you that 1% (or more) and help you release something in order to make space for something better, bigger, more expansive. In my classes, you can expect a variety of music, usually including some dirty drops and heavy beats, mixed alongside some great remixes. I’m all about having a vibe and not taking things too seriously.
What are you inspired by?
I am inspired by seeing riders show up, and progress.
Seeing them support each other, and believe in themselves.
What do you love about Cycle?
I love how inclusive, supportive and empowering InspireCycle is.
No matter who you are, where you come from or what you do, everyone is welcome. For me, cycle has always been a place for me to come and be exactly as I am. I love to workout because it’s the quickest way for me to shift my energy in my body, so whether I’m having a good day, or bad day—I know I’ll leave the class feeling energised. I love the physical and the mental challenges of being in the room, and music is such a big part of my life so getting on the bike and listening to banger beats is one of the best ways to shift my mood.
Best piece of advice you’ve received on your fitness journey?
You don’t have to be fit to start working out. So many people are concerned about STARTING because they aren’t “fit enough”, “strong enough”, “flexible enough” and so on. Best advice is to just start. All of that and more will come.
Outside of Inspire we’ll find you… ?
When I’m not at Inspire, I’m either with my husband and kids, or working 1:1 with clients doing Reiki Healing and Life purpose coaching! You can find more info at www.megaudrey.com ! ✨
