Tell us a little bit about yourself!

HIYA EVERYONE! My name is Esther and I moved to Brisbane to pursue my Bachelors in Biomedical Science, but home is still Singapore for me!

Growing up in the most humid part of the world I still struggle to deal with Brisbane's summer heat, but don't worry, I'm still always down for a hot sweaty workout 😉. I love being outdoors with my trusty cameras, and love a chill beach day whenever I have some time off! P.s I'm 100% a shopaholic, so if you have any cute recos for the Brisbane area don’t be shy, hit me up!

Describe yourself in three words.

Major. Bread. Lover.

Straight out… who is your favourite music artist and why?

If bands are included, I am a 100% a sucker for The Vamps.

Favourite spin song?

I feel like this is such a basic one, but City of Dreams by Dirty South, Alesso, and Ruben Haze always gets me feeling a certain type of way 🕺.

Tell us a little bit about your experience as a cycle instructor? How did you get into it and what do you love about being an instructor?

So.. funny story, I never actually wanted to try cycle classes. I simply never understood the hype of being on a bike for 45-minutes and doing choreography with booming music.... much less actually instructing a class. My sister finally convinced me to step into a ride room (big shoutout to my sister though whoop whoop) and I have never looked back since!

When COVID hit, we decided to rent a bike for home. Many times when I was feeling down,, the moments thats I was on the bike helped me to forget about all of the chaos going on in the world! This is what I hoped to share with others too. Being a cycle instructor has been so amazing. The community, the experiences and the friends that I have made are truly ones that I hold onto dearly.

One of the things I love most about it is being able to motivate people and hopefully make them feel strong and unstoppable on (and maybe even off) the bike! That is what I truly felt as a rider, and what I want to pass on as an instructor. I also love that I get to share my favourite music, and I love when I see others enjoying it too!

What’s inspiring you in life right now?

I guess I could say that my sister is. She is tiny, but she sure is mighty too! There's been many times where people underestimate her because of her size or her personality, however so many times she has proven the people around her wrong.

I strive to embody the same confidence and courage as my sister, to show that I am much more than what meets the eye in any situation I am faced with.

Okay, what about........

Athleisure or dressing up?

If you know me personally, you know I LOVE my lululemon..... but I am 100% a dress up gal whenever I can (although i hardly get the chance to 😅).

Favourite time of the day to work out?

Anytime is a good time, but if I had to pick one it would probably be mornings! It just leaves me so pumped and ready to start the day. You know what they say, ‘the early bird catches the worms’.

Favourite hobby?

Napping, no doubt. Especially when you wake up and feel like you have lost track of all space and time.

What will be your first theme class?

The Boys of 1D!!! If you haven’t booked in yet, what are you waiting for? 😉

(Also, I am so excited to be catching the man HARRY STYLES himself live this month down on the Gold Coast, so if anyone is heading there as well we can boot scoot together!)

Current show you are binging?

Don’t currently have one...... but if I were to binge one again it would either be Greys Anatomy or Suits!

This Saturday at 7:00am, Esther will be joining the team and the studio for her FREE Community Ride! So grab your water bottle, strap up your cycle shoes, and let's get ready to ride with Esther 🤍.
